Summer is certainly all go for Dale Hairdressing; after the salon’s interior received some stylish summer lovin’, the Jewellery Quarter’s high-end hair haunt has been selected as a key stockist for ultra-exclusive boutique styling range Shu Umera.
Shu Uemura is a range of hair products inspired by the traditional Japanese tea ceremony, aiming to reinvent the hair beauty secrets of Geishas. Made from natural ingredients, Shu Uemura’s own Hair Ceremony is a unique range of tailor made treatments that combine Shiatsu based sensorial gestures with high performance remedies to enhance your scalp, hairand mood in moments.
It’s a range that focuses on keeping things simple and offers an uncomplicated way to amazing hair, something which fits in well with the ethos at Dale Hairdressing where beautiful, low maintenance and healthy hair is the order of the day.
Dale Hairdressing is one of only a handful of salons in the UK chosen to stock the range, no doubt thanks to the reputation of salon owner Dale Hollinshead who’s extensive background and reputation for outstanding customer service and empathy has seen the salon quickly rise to the forefront of creative hairdressing in the Second City. So much so that Dale Hairdressing are entering the coveted Independent Salon of the Year award at the British Hairdressing Awards which take place later in the year, and have made it through to the grand final of this year’s L’Oreal Colour Trophy Awards (see picture below).
Based on Caroline Street, just a stone’s throw away hill from the sophisticated bars, restaurants and galleries of St Paul’s Square, the salon’s quirky interior retains its link to owner Dale Hollinshead’s personality and offers more than a nod to a bygone era: we love the Britishness of the Bowler hat lights, the Victorian brick style tiling, the Vintage Chesterfield sofa that’s been in the family for three-generations and, of course, his resident French Bulldog, Percy.
